I suddenly woke up from a nightmare..!!
I looked at the clock next to me and it was 4:30 pm......shittt i was late!!!
After taking a shower to fresh up, my phone started vibrating non-stop..
There were 5 dms and 10 bbm chats that were not open..
I opened the chats on bbm and most of them were just broadcast that were sent, until i spotted Moudhi sending me an angry face..

I needed someone to drop me off to moudhi's house since our driver traveled, and i wasn't in the mood to drive.. so.. i called a7mad!

We both hung up the phone at the same time, and i ran straight to my room to get ready..!!
I changed into ripped jeans, a fitting shirt that was studded on the end and a black blazer on top
I packed my stuff and took everything i needed and headed downstairs..
I waited in the garden's swings, until i saw a7mad's car signaling me to come..!!
I entered the car, and took a seat beside him..
My phone started vibrating again. I knew it was moudhi so i didnt bother to look because she will continue to nag for being late..!!
She didnt stop! When i looked at my phone i noticed that it wasnt moudhi ... it was a dm from 7amany!;o

We finally arrive and i bbmed moudhi to come out..
Moudhi and noura came running towards the car, and just as i came out both hugged me like i haven't seen them for a year!

I loved walking bl mamsha! The mamsha wasnt so far away from their house, it was really close, you can even see it from the window.
The warm breeze was very pleasent.. We walked, and talked.. and we were enjoying our time.. I looked at the time, and it was almost 6.. the sun was setting and it was getting darker..

The car was one of those cars that was shiny and had perfect rings. It seems like the guy who owns this car cares about his care more than anything. I spotted the guys who were siting inside the car. The three guys looked like they were in their twenties. They passed us once, and we were relieved thinking that they were gone.. but in the middle of the road, they turned their car and drove very slowly towards us.. we were panacking!!!! I was so scared of what they will do to us. Madre laish fakart they would kidnapp us..

Our minds were filled with things of what they could do to us! Moudhi kanat akthar wa7da khayfa.. shway w tabchi elmaskeena.. she kept on mumbling khan ro7 bait elyeeran..

The car came closer and closer to us, they rolled their windows down and blasted up the music
They were saying things, but we couldn't hear what they were blabbing..!!
It was probably dirty talk..!! qaleelen adaab! walla ma yst7uun!!

The one driving the car put his hand out lana he was smoking..
He was the closest to me..!! i tried to move away but there was nowhere to move, shway wadsh elshyara..
I was disgusted by him.. he was trying to touch me.. god knows what they would've done if it was only me bl mamsha...
Im one of those girls who gets so afraid when guys do that. I start to feel ashamed of myself for walking in the mamsha.

Jassim was the type of guy who gets  furious when a guy tries to hit on his cousins or sisters..

Moudhi looked petrified! The car was still following us. I could hear them talking dirty about us and trying to approach every minute. We ignored what they were saying...
Moudhi called jassim and he said he was on his way..
I cant wait any more, those guys didn't move away.
Suddenly the car's engine stopped, i was relieved thinking that they'd stopped following us but i was wrong..
Before i knew it, i heard the car doors open and the the guys were out..!!
My legs began to shake and fear started to fill me again..
We were giving them our back. I could feel that moudhi anytime would faint min el 5ar3a.
I wasnt used to those stuff... shway wabchi:(

I could feel his happiness while he was approaching us..
Noura held my hand tight and i can feel her hand shaking...

Now they were too close to us..
I was impatiently waiting for jassim...where is he?!

We lifted our heads and noticed that it was jassim....
He's a life saver!!
Joy filled me and i felt safe, but still it wasnt over..
He came with 2 guys with him...

It was dark so jassim couldn't recognize their faces..

I was too nervous to even answer. It took me awhile to reply to him.

I was excited about the sleepover.. im not that close ma3a my cousins.. y3ne there's no reason or anything bs we're just not close.. I just hoped Jassim wasn't gonna be there!

I got out of bed, took a shower, prayed.. and got dressed. I wore light blue skinny jeans.. and an over-sized beige cardigan.. I put my hair in a side braid and headed downstairs for breakfast..

Jude: No no khala9 i dont want breakfast.. (i hated eating alone so i decided to get breakfast on my way to work)
I called mai..

We kept talking all the way to the avenues.. w stopped at Starbucks 3dailya to get some breakfast.. then we finally reached the avenues!... we walked to Dip n' Dip.. when i saw 7amany sitting in the restaurant waiting.. there were no one in the restaurant except the workers and 7amany..

Mai bumped my elbow and whispered..

We got into the restaurant, 7amany stood up from his chair and shyly waved at me to come over..
I walked to him while mai went in to change into her uniform..

7amany: hahaha emm.. you look nice today.. (he was so embarrassed of what he just said..he looked at the floor ..)

Jude: Emm thankyou.. bs are you saying ina klyoum shakli khays?;p (i livened up the atmosphere lana it was awkwardly silent..)

As i walked back to the changing room, i turned around to find 7amany still staring at me...
I got changed into my uniform, and started serving tables..
Mai was busy with the other customers, and didnt notice that 7amany wanted to order..

I walked as calmly as i could, and when i finally reached his table he looked at me and smiled..

He is such a gentleman.. jad i don't think any other 18 year old kuwaiti guy would do that..

Jude: Thank you.. (i was red as a tomato, and i couldn't control it.. i covered up my face by looking at the table beneath me)

I admit that i was jealous.. but i just couldn't help it! First he makes me fall for him then he goes and talks to another girl?! I dont get him..!! And i was beginning to fear he was a player... :( .

Before i knew it my shift was over..
I dropped off Mai, and headed straight back to my house..

I woke up feeling really sick! I went to the bathroom, took a shower.. got dressed into some comfy A&F grey sweatpants, and a loose white shirt.. We spent the remaining hour of the movie crying, laughing, and imagining that one day we'll fall in love.. ;p
It was 8:00 and mai had to leave..

Maii's eyes suddenly moved away and gazed at the window.

Maii's face looked deeper and sharper to recognize if it was 7amany..

Jude: Ambaay shaklii khara..!!

I ran as fast as i could upstairs.. washed my face.. applied my lipstick.. fixed my hair and went downstairs
Mai was waiting for me by the stairs.. 


Mai: yalla jude ana ray7a..

She winked at me and looked at the window to see what they will do next.


Jude: Enzain yalla byee.. akalmch bachr


She went in for a hug and said..

I looked at her and smiled;p I love it how she is so interested in 7amany and i:p

I led mai to the door and hugged her again.

After a minute or so a7mad dash el bait weya 7amany.
My eyes were glued on the tv.. I didnt bother turn my head not to make it seem too obvious that i knew 7amany was with him..

I always get really scared after watching scary movies.. and usually i cant sleep.... :/

I just frowned and went with it.. It wasnt my favorite but i just went with because they urged me to..
I stayed silent while watching the movie with them. We sat on the ground and each one of us had their hands dug deep into their bowl of popcorn while their eyes were glued to the tv..

7amany was staring at me.. i could feel it..!! I sensed eyes on me..!! it was too creepy, but i didn't bother look at him..

he finally broke the silence..

I layed on my bed.. thinking.. I was getting lost deep in my thoughts until i felt my phone vibrate..

I looked at it and it was 7amany.. :o

Chapter 14

I woke up to the sound of the alarm.
I was too tired to even turn it off...
My body shivered from the room's coldness
I just cant take my mind off of 7amany..
I felt bad for him
I've tried really hard to take it out of my mind but there was no use
I think about him 24/7 and its just tiring.. sometimes i wonder if he's also thinking about me

7amany is such a great guy.. The way he talks makes me fall in love with him more, he makes me forget my worries and just live in the moment... I'm so afraid that he doesn't feel the same way about me, then things would be so awkward between us..

Mai started calling.. ending my train of thought instantly..
I was too lazy to answer the phone..
My eyes were focused on the ceiling.. and eventually mai stopped calling


After10 minutes of just laying on my bed, thinking.. i got up and did my normal routine.
I went to the bathroom, prayed, and changed my clothes to anything that was first in my closet..
I wasn't in the mood to work.
I didn't get enough sleep yesterday night.. and yes 7amany was the reason..

We headed straight to the car. I didnt feel like leaving my bed this morning but i think its better than staying at home..
I faced the window the whole time avoiding mai. My eyes were glued to the cars that were passing by. I started thinking about 7amany again.. I havent seen him in a while. I was in distress.. The radio was on and the volume was high.. A song i really wanted to hear came on.. it was exactly what i felt

I murmured some lyrics of the songs while it was playing. It was my favorite song and it came on just the right time

We finally arrived to the avenues... We did our normal thing, changed and headed straight to the restaurant.

Our manager didnt attend, so i had the chance to hide behind the counter and close my eyes. I was dead tired so i thought that a couple of minutes of closing my eyes would make me rest and have my energy back.

After a couple of minutes, i served some tables and waited impatiently for my shift to end.
7amdella today i didnt see jassim, this filled me pure joy..

Our shift was finally over, i wanted to head straright home and sleep, but mai el 3aneeda wanted to shop.

Mai: la la yalla.... please bs hal ma7al.... wely yama ....wely jedama..

Jude: enzain yalla ebser3a

We headed to where she wanted to shop. Instead of going to three stores like she said, we ended up going to 6 stores.. :/

My voice was wrecked and my eyes hurt more and more everytime i blinked. I felt the sickness increase as i was folowing mai like a lost puppy.

Mai: ka ka a5er ma7al!!

This time i couldnt stand it anymore. I went into the closest cafe i could find, i needed something to drink or else i'd pass out at any second!
I walked to the counter and didnt even bother to look at the place. I took a glance at the menu that was layed in front of me.. when i lifted my head to order..

I was shocked at who i saw....

I turned around and looked away acting as if i didnt hear him.. I sat at a table that had two chairs. i just crossed my arms on top of the table and layed my head to rest..

Time had passed ....
The next thing i knew, jassim was sitting in front of me facing me while flashing me a wide smile :D
He tried poking me slowly until i lifted my head...

Jassim is a lovely cousin. He's like my brother..  bs marat ey8ith.. ;p
On his hand was my drink.. I grabbed it from him, thanked him, and headed out of the caffe.
I went back to where mai was shopping at.
I could see the that she's still confused on what clothes to buy..

I sat on the empty chair that i found on the store. I could hear mai asking the woman in the store on what looked better on her..
After we were finally done we headed home. I looked at the clock, and it was 6:00 .. I couldnt believe that time had passed by so quickly!!
I quietly sat in the car..
I didnt bother tell mai that i saw jassim today..
I just kept silent during the ride back home..

My headache took all my energy and i was drained..
I went to my room and slept for the rest of the day..

I couldnt stop hugging my dad, jad i missed him so much. Not seeing him for a 3 weeks is too much.. :(

My dad left and i was left alone with 7amany...

It was so awkward sitting with 7amany and just looking at the ground.
So i decided to end the silence....

7amany looked at me and laughed, and before i knew it, i was seated in the 9ala with 7amany away from the family.

we kept silent for a couple of seconds then 7amany started talking..


7amany: Walla walaht 3ala 3amyy..

Jude: Ahahaa..

Few seconds of silence.. so i decided to break it..

Jude: emm.... 7amany ma gltly obuk laish ma ya elyoum?

7amany kept silent and looked at the ground....
He looked really sad, and i felt my insides fill with guilt, my face turned into a guilty expression..
I knew that i shouldnt ask that...

I stood up and gave him my back. I slowly walked away back to the table where everyone was seated
But before i did 7amany grabbed my arm gently

i turned around and faced him.. he didnt let go of my arm
I looked at him, i couldn't take my eyes off of from him.. he had such beautiful eyes

He sat on the ground, his back on the wall, and tapped the floor.. gesturing me to sit next to him.. I did as told and took my seat on the floor next to him.. his eyes didn't meet mine the whole time.. his eyes looked  straight ahead...

He kept quiet
i knew that he was hurt. Something happened to his dad but he couldnt say it..

He said it in a really sad tone.
i felt really sad of what happened.
The guilt started to fill my insides once again :(

I shouldnt ask him this question, i knew that it was too personal. La2ana asking someone who lost a very important person in their life is really hurtful. Next time i should find it out on my own...

I looked at the ground with a dispointed expression. I wanted to let him know that im really sorry that i've asked. I didnt know that it had hurt him so much. Maybe because his dad had just passed away a few weeks or months ago? Thats why he and his family came back to kuwait?

Jude: im really sorry iny sa2alt...allah yer7ama w ya'3ferallah w yad5ella janat el na3eem.

7amany: ameen....la 3ade, entay taben et3arfeen fa al7een ana bagoolich

He took a deep breath and continued talking.

7amany: uboy allah yer7ema died gabel 2 weeks...

He avoided any eye contact..

7amany: mat min 7adeth. allah yer7ema. ga3ad fil mostashfa for one month or so because he had a heart problem after the accident.

I could feel how sad he was....

7amany: kan ubuy kelshay blnesba lyy. kan methel reffeejy.. okhoy.. everything. he taught me how to be a man and how to face others. He made me the man i am today. He was so kind; never treated others badly w wela mara fawat 9alata. wela mara eb 7ayata zafnee aw 6agne haman law asawe a5yas el ashya2 kan yen9a7nee w yad3lee lil hidaya.. when he died i felt so miserable and i didnt know what to do next in my life. I dont want zayoon to grow up without a dad by her side... :( it really hurts letting zayoon believe that my dad had died, instead we told her that he traveled. Thats why i want to be the best brother zayoon could ever have.

He took a deep breath again and continued..

7amany: my dad is my inspiration, he's who i look up to.. and who i want my son to be like...

7amany stayed silent for more than 2 minutes
he didnt say a word..

7amany just smiled and looked away, trying to put on a fake smile.

I was very hesitant of doing what i was about to do but i did itt.. i put my hand on his back

I couldnt see 7amany was sad. I wanted to tell him anything 3shan ma yez3al, because if i was in his place i needed someone to help me too. I cant see him sad...

He stood up and led the way.

i loved 7amany's family, they are so sweet and kind. i felt like they were my family too.

I didnt feel like eating.. bs i ate a salad w poured some water to drink..

I couldnt stop thinking how honest 7amany is with me. I felt like he was my friend that i knew my whole life! 9ij ena we were best friends when we were kids but i couldnt remember anything. 7amany is a really strong guy, i can sense it. He didnt stop his life, instead he moved on keeping in mind that one day he will be like his father. 7amany is a strong man in every person's eye of what he has been through, its a lot and he waited patiently for things to get better. He wanted to take care of zayoon and thats really sweet of him. A guy in his age rarely do that. I felt like i knew him all my life...

I got up, took a quick shower, got dressed into some ripped jeans & a loose blouse.. made my hair into a messy bun and headed to the car... we got to the salon and were pampered like princesses!;) I got my hair done into 1980's curls and mai sawat sha3arha straight..
